I'm getting error while writing code in popsql
Hey great tutorial. I just found a little inconsistency (no big deal) in the video and in the code.Should be select COUNT(emp_id) from employee where sex = 'F' and birth_day > '1970-01-01';not birth_date.
how do u add the column in your desired postion. I added another column as u showed but it wasnt where i wanted it to be
Hi, thanks for lecture its good, do you have any excises for database so that we can do hands on?
1:41:45 is the Table student basically consisting a composite key right there? 😀
I just finished the course 10 minutes ago and it took about about 2 weeks to complete it all.
I have to say, I feel extremely grateful. The moment I left my pen finishing my notes as Mike closed the tutorial, felt amazing. I believe I built very strong foundation to take the next leap ahead. The course was great, it covered lots of details and if I still had a question, it was so small that a simple Google search or just experimenting was enough to solve it.
Now as Mike already said, it is a beginners course, which is fine. I feel more than ready to tackle more advanced stuff and I cannot wait to do so in the next few weeks. I feel ready to apply my new SQL knowledge in my favourite languages and take my game a step further.
I also saw that Mike has lots of other tutorials as well. Something tells me that I will learn more from him soon.Thank you so much for creating this course for free and for actually investing your valuable time to teach us.

2:52:14 for the month you can also use this (a month is always MM a year is always AAAA- and a day is always -DD ) to distinct the months from th days or the years

1:55:00 But if you delete a row, the student id doesnt update. How can you fix that
colleges really be charging $500+ for beginner DBMS classes and it takes 4 months to learn where as this guy does it for free and under 5 hours.
Thank you so making this video…this video help me a lot ..again thank you very much 😀
Best succinct and complete tutorial about SQL .Gave me the theoretical definitions in a simple way. Keep up with the good work.
Love the Office References 🙂
my man watches a lot of The Office
Damn dude you are a legend. Many thanks
i have a problem, when clicking 'mysql command line' client its not opening. give me any solution for this.
A slight mistake was made in 1:42:49, The reason it is a syntax error is because you put the chemistry major in double quotations and not single quotations. Chemistry should have been 'Chemistry' but you made it "Chemistry". Once you fix that mistake you will get the correct error which say "Column name cannot be null".
Do you have any video of Ui path studio also ?
Best tutorial ever. I have understood everything I need for my module work for tommorow within 4 hours..Such a comprehensive explanation, a lot of useful examples, not just learning syntaxes. Great job, man
the exercise at 3:16:00 why did you go for an newsted query ? I tried to do the same using an join and got the exact result.
SELECT distinct employee.first_name, employee.last_nameFROM works_withinner join employeeon works_with.emp_id = employee.emp_idWHERE works_with.total_sales > 30000;
Which solution would be the best here? I feel like the smaller and more readable the querrie the better. But which does useally get prefered ?
Why is it I am unable to write INTEG??
Stupid question. What could be the advantage of finding results in descending and ascending order?
Some of this YouTubers really know how to prepare and convey tech materials way better than some lecturers in high-end institutions. Thank you so much for this upload.
Fanculo te e la giraffa blu
FOREIGN KEY(mgr_id) REFERENCES employee(emp_id) ON DELETE SET NULL what does it meansplzz tell
Your 10gb study material is also a database 🤣
do you have sql in advance level?
What If we forget password?
Sir please provide the PDF file of SQL lecture.
I don't think the super_id should be a foreign key and the code doesn't even work but all the same great video really enjoyed it
I learned more from this than from a one session in a university
This is everything you need all in one place. Respects 🙏🏻
Thank you MIke.

Awesome content and really liked the pace at which you were teaching. Great job! I subscribed to your channel after watching this video 🙂
Micheal Scott 😂😂😂
Just a comment on 'On Delete'. I never cascade delete, and almost never delete rows. It's far safer to have an attribute that is something like 'isCurrent' (caption Current?). When that binary is set to false, then you have a query that only pulls current = true, and that is what you normally access, not going to the table directly. That way you don't get in trouble with internal revenue when they're checking your books over, and you don't have any broken links, for example, branchId = 2 in another table when there is no branchId 2 in the branch table. While deleting rows is a REALLY bad idea, archiving is sometimes a good idea. If your table gets 'too big', you can shift records off to an archived version of the table, and delete the rows from the original table. For example, you may want to do this for sales data that is, say, more than two years old. You still wouldn't delete the sales person, or the product name, etc., but you would archive this sales data, because a) you probably won't be wanting to access it any time soon and b) if you do want to access it you can always restore it to the main table (or merge a query on the archive table), but if you mess with the parent tables (sales person, products) by archiving rows your child table won't know where to go to get the names, and you've lost referential integrity.
2 hours 30 minutes in and im thinking to my self I know all this, but where did I learn it?…note to self note
