SiteGround vs Bluehost: What’s The Best Choice in 2019? [Comparison]

Which one’s better SiteGround or
Bluehost or more importantly which is better for you. Well in this video I’ll
cover the price the performance support and features you might expect starting
right now so right off the bat I can tell you that SiteGround is faster I
did three different performance and speed tests and SiteGround won in all of
them SiteGround has servers all across the
world while Bluehost data centers are located in the United States. SiteGround
experienced a less downtime loaded my website in less time and gave better
response times outside of the United States. Overall, I found that my SiteGround website was about 17% faster than the Bluehost one. Which is
quite a large gap especially if you are in a competitive niche where every
single millisecond matters. When it comes to performance based on all of the tests
that I’ve just done with the websites that I have hosted I have to give the
first point to SiteGround but all of this speed and performance doesn’t come cheap
so let’s compare Bluehost to SiteGround in terms of pricing. But before we do
that I would like to let you know that all of my reviews are supported by
affiliate commissions what exactly does that mean? Check it out. If you find my
review helpful and decide to purchase hosting services using the links in the
description below that’s a thank you for bringing a new customer the hosting
provider will pay me a commission and as a bonus for supporting me the hosting
provider will give you a discount it’s a win-win-win situation you get a discount
I’m able to give honest reviews and support my channel and the hosting
provider gets a new client. A huge thank you to everyone that supports my channel
and my content and with that out of the way let’s continue with SiteGround and
Bluehost pricing models. So, long story short Bluehost is cheaper kinda… If we
would compare the cheapest plan that Bluehost and SiteGround are offering it
would look something like this for three years of hosting with a domain
name and an SSL certificate Bluehost will charge you a one-time payment of
$95 and SiteGround would cost you $158 that’s a 40%
difference similarly the difference between Bluehosts and SiteGrounds middle plants are 15% SiteGround being the more expensive
option. However, interestingly enough if we would compare the most expensive plan
both providers offer SiteGround would come out on top the most expensive
three-year plan would side ground would cost you $446 while Bluehost would come out at $502 that’s a
11% difference in the favor of SiteGround While both services offer a
30-day money-back guarantee SiteGround actually has a 1 month trial period
plants and Bluehost only offers annual ones. However on average Bluehost seems
to be a lot cheaper than SiteGround so I gotta give this point to Bluehost. What
you’re still not using the links in the description you know they’re cheaper
right? And you’ll also be supporting me while I support puppies that’s right
save yourself some money and support puppies at the same time use the links
in the description below. Okay talking about support who offers the better
support services Bluehost or my boys down at SiteGround? This is another easy
point to SiteGround dealing with their support agents is always such a pleasure
they respond quickly they’re extremely outgoing and more
importantly they go the extra mile to help you out. Normally, you can’t pay via
PayPal when making your orders with SiteGround but I’ve contacted their support
and within 10 minutes they made a custom link and allowed me to pay via PayPal so
while talking to SiteGround support I’ve noticed that it’s similar to asking some
friends for help there are no stupid questions you can banter a bit and
they’re generally interested in helping to fix your problem instead of just
getting you of their back. And, I’m not saying that Bluehost support is bad they
also respond quickly and do their best to help you out if there’s a problem and
yet something feels missing that little drop of passion or that spark in their
work while Bluehost has support that really good it’s definitely not on par
with SiteGround so for the support point I’m giving it
to SiteGround. Also, a super quick note if you’re interested in the full SiteGround review I’ve actually covered them you can check it out right here. So, now
let’s move on to which a hosting provider is actually easier to use. In my
opinion SiteGrounds interface and navigation is a bit outdated a lot of
space is used for advertising additional features or offers the buttons are small
crucial information seems to be buried under several menus and it might just be
my personal preference but I like the interface of Bluehost better. It looks
fresh and clean and you can easily find everything you need both SiteGround and
Bluehost are good choices if you’ve never created or hosted a web site
before you will be able to get your website up and running without any
coding or technical knowledge in less than 15 minutes SiteGround and Bluehost
both offer one click WordPress installation software all you will have
to do is choose how you want your website to look and edit the content
such as text or pictures while navigating Bluehost I was never in a
position where I was stuck or unable to find something on the other hand SiteGround had me clicking through menus like a maniac and I was never able to find
what I was looking for in the first go so good job Bluehost UI and UX team you
win this point single-handedly and if you’re interested in more in-depth
Bluehost review I’ll put it up on the screen right now. Yeah, ok. I will, I will
don’t worry I will. So, I just got off the phone with the discount police and
they told me they’ve confiscated a large amount of Bluehost and SiteGround
discount coupons that they’re keeping down in the description below obviously
using those you can get the best possible deal so I won’t tell if you
won’t. One noteworthy feature about SiteGround
that might influence your decision is their worldwide reach. Upon purchase you
can choose where your data server is located if you expect to have users from
Europe or Asia by choosing those servers you’ll increase performance by
quite a bit by the way,
I’m super interested in what kind of hosting experience you have so I’ll put
a poll right up here by answering one simple question you can help me make
better content in the future. Okay so which one is better well if one of them
was better than the other there would be no reason for both of them to exist so
it all depends on what you need if you’re looking to create a serious
business in a competitive niche where every single advantage that you can get
actually matters this is where SiteGrounds performance and support shine.
However, if you’re just starting out and you want an easier to use in cheaper
solution Bluehost is probably the right choice for you. In the end, it only
matters which qualities you value the most. Support? SiteGround. Easy to use?
Bluehost. Price? Bluehost. Performance? SiteGround All I can do is give you an
unbiased review of all the features and you have to make this decision yourself.
No matter which a hosting provider you choose my name is Emit with the
hosting review team and I wish you luck in your website building adventures.
