Surma spricht deutsch :O
Can you add a link to the github repo in the description?
rockin! thanks guys!
Surma must have spent a fair amount of time prepping for this. I am thankful.
Instead of restarting server for every change(dev environment), how about using nodemon?
"I have never encountered them in the wild" – Surma 2016
Awesome work! Been learning a lot with you guys. Thank you!
I'm not really fond of handlebars, so I forked the repo and replaced handlebars with ejs (with the added benefit of removing the ifNotEq helper function). This is obviously just a personal preference. The code is here:https://github.com/andregoncalves/ui-element-samples/commit/e5ce6de7575abb8e8cfeedd1733e550e1ce73ac5
You could use nodemon for instant restarts
you are my hero paul & surma. you are too great………
Hi guys, great work! can u show us how do you prepare for prod?
tnx keep up the good work!
but pcre is easy 😀 ( srs )
I love the episodes but please get rid of the cringy intros.
Thanks for this episode! I'd like to see some Angular stuff on Supercharged in the future 🙂
Servierseitige Vorlagenausführung? Dein Ernst Surma? 😀 Ich geh sterben xD
There are some funny typo's in the transcript. For example at 9:08 instead of HTTP2, it states HB2. Also 4:13 states "pipe [INAUDIBLE]" which should be "python webserver". And at 9:15 TLF instead of TLS.
I'd actually be interested in seeing an episode on Service Workers 😉
Share some love for PHP <3
@Surma @Google Chrome Developers For anyone willing to debug on their own lovely OS X and Safari, just add some browser polyfills:
1. npm install bower && bower install webcompnentsjs (instuctions from http://webcomponents.org/)2. add <script src=""/browser/webcomponents-lite.min.js"></script> to the header section of the header.partial.html file3. add app use section app.use('/browser',express.static('./app/../bower_components/webcomponentsjs'));
This was a lot of fun!
+Surma, As you had guessed at 53:34, the problem with h2 is indeed limited to Node 4 (and earlier versions). The root cause is Node 4 does not support ALPN, which is required by h2 (ALPN support was introduced in Node 5). In this scenario, node-spdy silently falls back to http/1.1 (not even https), which is unfortunate.
"Servierseitige Vorlagenausführung"? U mad bro? 😂
49:14 "… in Indonesia, the internet is noticeably slower …"yes, it is. Thank you Surma
Are you actually suggesting that returning HTML snippets/partials is superior technique than returning JSON and constructing the view on the client? If that's the case, than can you think of a scenario, where it is still worth to use JSON and client side templating?
minute 18:23 what is s3 hosting ?
hilarious (jake and service workers)
what should we do for Angular 4 running apache as backend server for server side rendering
Surma, mach mal eine ganze Episode auf deutsch 😀
