Renewing a Device Enrollment Server Token File

Hey, this is CJ with Jamf, and today we’ll
walk through renewing a Device Enrollment Server token with Jamf Pro. Apple’s Device Enrollment, formerly known
as the Device Enrollment Program, or “DEP,” allows administrators to easily deploy and
configure iOS and macOS devices by automating MDM enrollment and supervision of devices
during setup. If you haven’t yet integrated with Apple’s
Device Enrollment and are looking for help with that process, check out our Integrating
Jamf Pro with Apple’s Device Enrollment video by clicking here, or finding it linked
in the description below. Your Device Enrollment Server token will need
to be renewed every year. Luckily, this is a simple process — we’ll
just need our credentials for Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager before we
start. First, we’ll log into Apple School Manager
or Apple Business Manager. In the sidebar, select “MDM Servers” in
the “Devices” category. Then choose your MDM server from the list. In the right pane, click the “Get Token”
button. Now we’ll upload the server token file to
Jamf Pro. In Jamf Pro, click the “Settings” gear
in the top right corner of the screen, then click “Global Management.” Click “Device Enrollment Program,” (DEP
was the previous name for the Device Enrollment integration,) choose your Device Enrollment
instance, and then click “Edit.” Here, choose the “Upload Server Token File”
button, and choose the server token we downloaded from Apple School Manager or Apple Business
Manager. Finally, hit save. Thanks for watching! If you found this video helpful, go ahead
