People of Hyve Managed Hosting – Employees of the Cloud Company of the Year

Hi, I’m Katie Robertson and I’m the social media manager. I’m James and I’m the infrastructure manager at Hyve Managed Hosting. My name is Jack and I’m the front-end developer at Hyve. My name is Callam McAllister, I’m a systems engineer. My name is Damien Ellis and I’m head of PPC at Hyve Managed Hosting. My name is Tom and I’m a technical systems engineer. My name’s Neville Louzado and I’m head of sales for Hyve. My name is Chris, one of the system engineers here at Hyve. My name is Graham and I’m the operations and compliance director here at Hyve Managed Hosting. Hi I’m Millie Craig and I’m the marketing intern at Hyve. Best thing about my job is that I get to learn the technologies which I actually used to host the websites I create, so for me that’s great. No day is the same! I get to learn new things every day. I think the best thing about my job is the variety. Every day is different and brings new challenges. Taking on new technologies and learning. Coming into work and doing something new every single day. I guess the thing I’m most proud of working with Hyve is the fact that I get to work with absolutely everyone. I’m most proud of my progression, so I came straight out of uni, working I came straight into the job at Hyve. And then since then I haven’t stopped learning and progressing. It’s a proud moment to work for a company and watch the company grow and know that I’m a part of it. I’m most proud of how it develops the person and professionally, Hyve has really done a lot for me in the eight months I’ve been here. The whole environment here just really pushes you to be better. How much I’ve learned in a short space of time. I like to think that everyone at Hyve is involved in the growth of the company, and for me that’s very exciting. Everybody pulls together in the same direction and it’s just a really enjoyable place to work. My favorite thing about Hyve is that we’re all the best of friends, we all love what we do and we all work so well together. I think my favorite thing about Hyve is the team. Everyone is really dedicated to their role. I get to work in a social and hard working environment. Coming to work every day is it’s not like coming to work, it’s coming to to work with your friends and it’s just such a good environment. Who inspires me? I guess 2 people, Stephen Fry and Stephen Hawking. I get most of my inspiration from the people I work with especially in the tech team, we’re all doing the same thing and fighting for the same cause I guess my dad inspires me. Elon Musk inspires me, I think he’s a very genuine person and his interests are in people not in profits which is a very rare thing these days. I’d say Louis Theroux, makes people talk about things that they would never normally talk about and he really is thought-provoking. A guy that I’m listening to at the moment is a guy called Simon Sinek, he does a lot of inspirational talks and motivational speaks. My parents inspire me, they’ve always instilled like a good working ethic in me, just they’ve always given me a really good sense of direction of how to live your life properly and just be a nice person. An interesting facts about me is I can speak Danish fluently. Outside of work I’m a complete petrol-head, anything from cars, boats to bikes. I lived in Ghana for 10 years. I went travelling for 7 months across Southeast Asia. I once kissed the Blarney Stone in Ireland, which gave me the gift of the gab. I was in the Royal Navy for 10 years. I’m a bit of an amateur homebrewer at home, so I brew my own beers. I was once reposted onto an Instagram celebrity look-alike page as Ariana Grande’s look-alike. Although I’m 37 I look 21! I would describe Hyve in one word as dynamic amazing awesome professional fun extraordinary exciting fun fantastic hectic Has everyone said that?
