How to backup a WordPress site on Plesk

First, login to your site via your ftp client. Select all the files in your WordPress directory. Create a folder on your desktop and name it. Drag the selected files from your ftp client into the folder on your desktop. This may take a while depending on the size of your site. If you get any duplicate file warnings, then select overwrite, always use this action, and apply to current queue only, and then ok. Once the files have completed downloading, open the folder. Open the wp_config file. In here, you can find the name of the database that your WordPress site uses. We’ll need this for the next step. Login to your Plesk control panel. Click on databases on the right hand side. Click on phpMyadmin On the left, select the database that your WordPress site is using. Click export, then click go. Select save file from the popup, then ok. The database will download, usually to the downloads folder. Drag the database from your downloads folder, into your WordPress backup folder, to keep all of your files together. You now have a full backup of your WordPress site.
