Enterprise Cloud – Interview with Paulo Machado from Hyve Managed Hosting

What is an enterprise cloud? For Hyve in particular and our customers, it offers scalability, reliability, and ultimate performance, due to no single point of failure that we offer within our infrastructure. The main benefits are scalability, reliability, and ultimately performance. We do that obviously based on your architecture within our cloud itself. We have multiple blade enclosures within our cloud with multiple servers. We then use VMware as a software layer to create our virtual environments, which then creates our cloud servers for our customer. What that entails, if a host in the underlying infrastructure were to fail for any reason, you’d automatically reboot on to another host, which is the massive selling point for a lot of our customers. I think the main reason is resilience and performance, particularly when you’re considering Hyve’s Enterprise Cloud. As standard we offer a 99.999% SLA on all our cloud servers, which depending on your setup may not necessarily be achieved with the public cloud providers. As well as that you get a fixed monthly cost versus a variable cost with your public cloud providers, and of course all our cloud solutions when it refers to enterprise it’s all bespokely designed depending on our customers requirements. They can pretty much be installed worldwide depending on where we have an Equinix data centre, we can deploy within their data centre. So we currently have locations in Miami, L.A, New York soon to be Madrid and of course the UK. I think the main reason why you choose Hyve Enterprise Cloud is mainly from a performance perspective, a reliability perspective, and of course resilience. All that comes as standard and also it’s a market leading Enterprise Cloud. Where can you find more information about Hyve’s Enterprise Cloud?
