Xmas in January!
2850/2950? What a joke lol, a cheap r710 from eBay trumps that.
We recently upgraded our rack to the R740. All SSD's and 128GB of RAM. Thing is a BEAST
My friend had a PE 2900. Let's just say, he left it at his old apartment when he moved out last year. I know exactly what you mean; those things are old, clunky, and heavy as all get up.
when people are thinking about cloud environment for infrastructure , is it good to spend money on hardware ?
Oh … by the way, there is a name for the power you feel around Dell servers in particular. I call it Dellfire. I haven't found any references to it anywhere else, though if I find any, I'll let you know. And God, that server sounds beautiful. Another question for you … what name does it give to you? I've noticed that about Dell servers; they tend to name themselves to their owners. Some listen, some do not.
Lol, your reactions are just like mine when I get new hardware. I upgraded our old T610 to dual R630’s and 750gb SSD’s with dual CPU’s and 10gb NIC’s. We run them in a cluster and use Starwind to manage our storage.
We are used the front, but we are not lock servers, we put the key in the trash
My testserver is a hp dl380 with 2xXeon, 192gb ram, 8xSSD and 1x nvme.
Got an r420 and a t620 both with 128gb ram and multi lan ports all 8 bays full of enterprise drives
If you are running VMs you should get a 10gb nic
Mate the front bezel have missing LCD diagnostic!! That certainly helps lot, earlier that LCD use to be embedded with server itself, but in 14th gen servers it's placed on front bezel…
I lock the cabinet the servers are located in, not the servers themsleves
How did you get venter for home? Your boss is awesome! My bos wouldn't think of doing this
Why not do all firmware upgrades while in lifecycle
Thank you man. I just unboxed this server, its supercool
They are cool for sure. I just picked up a T620 and an HP Z620 for home. Both have dual Xeon CPU's and 96 gig of ram on the HP. I use mine for work units for cancer and disease research. They crunch 24/7 unless I have one down for upgrades or cleaning dust out.
what type of nema conector does it have?
Do I lock my servers – no. If you do and you lose a key you'll change the practice pretty quickly.
Were you get Drivers
wtf who puts single memory stick in 6 channel system
