Hi, this is Derek from the Checkfront Customer Success team. Today I’m going to show you how to set up a custom domain in your Site Builder account. As you can see, I’m already logged in and I’m ready to show the world my new company: Canuck Adventures. First, we’re going to click on Settings. Then, Domains. From here we can click Connect New Domain, and it’s going to prompt us to enter our website’s address. Once you have that, you can Add Domain. As you can see, it’s gonna sit in a Pending status. That’s fine for now. We’re going to configure a few settings with our domain provider and come back. In this case, I’m using GoDaddy. I’ve logged into my account on their site, and found the DNS Management page for my domain. Here, we’re going to configure the CNAME record. We’re gonna switch back to our Site Builder account briefly, to get the information to fill into these fields. You’re going to click back into your new domain and select the Value from the bottom of the gray box. We’re now going to put that in the Points to field. We’re gonna leave Host as www, and we’re going to change the TTL to 1 day. Once you’ve clicked Save, we’re done configuring our settings. Now go back to the Site Builder page. Back in Site Builder, if we go to the Domains section, we should see that the status is changed from Pending to Live. This may take a few hours and in some cases, up to 24 hours. If you have any further questions about setting up a custom domain in Site Builder, go to checkfront.com and visit our knowledge base. Here, you’ll be able to search for custom domains and you’ll find a support article listing all the steps with visuals. Thanks for taking the time to listen today, and I look forward to seeing all of those great sites.
