This video will demonstrate how to secure your Windows Server and SQL server data using Bloombase StoreSafe Bloombase StoreSafe can transparently encrypt various data types on Windows Server iSCSI Virtual disks, securing your critical data using industry standards and proven cryptography This Bloombase StoreSafe will be protecting an iSCSI LUN provided by a Windows Server 2019 Datacenter Record the Bloombase iSCSI initiator IQN Using your Windows server manager, create an iSCSI target and virtual disk Add the Bloombase IQN to allow access Navigate to Storage>iSCSI Physical Storage, setup the connection to the Windows server iSCSI target address Start iSCSI connection The iSCSI virtual disk should now show under Physical Storage Device Create a Physical storage entry for the Windows disk with Block I/O set Create a Virtual storage target with the physical storage and your generated encryption key and cipher of choice Start the new virtual target Scan for and connect to the Bloombase virtual target on the Windows client Go back to the StoreSafe web console and set the access control on the virtual share to allow the client machine’s initiator IQN to connect to the encrypted LUN The original Windows Server virtual disk is now accessible and transparently encrypting Then initialize and format the disk You can now securely store your SQL server data on the Bloombase encrypted virtual disk transparent to the applications and users who rely on them With Bloombase StoreSafe, customers get peace-of-mind that their data is secure among their entire portfolio of Microsoft ecosystem products
